President's Message

An enthusiastic Marty Wilson entertained our members and guests at our July luncheon. A local New Lambton boy, Marty took many U-turns in his professional career from pharmacist to stand-up comic to an author of more than 16 books, and now a renowned speaker on resilience.

Marty’s presentation was enlightening and included audience participation where members and guests were asked to share some difficult experiences and how those experiences made them stronger.

Marty provided us with four valuable life-changing lessons:

1.    Life is change
2.    Accept that there will be tough times
3.    Make more mistakes
4.    Lighten up

The final message from Marty was that in business, as in life, HAVE FUN! Don’t take things too seriously and when things get tough, you can get stronger.

This fantastic event would not have been possible without our luncheon sponsors Jacob and Blake from Bespoke Technology. Jacob gave us insights into how cyber attacks can affect businesses and what businesses can do to protect their risk.
