What a fabulous start to our Newcastle Business Club 90th year with our annual Mayoral panel luncheon.
We were thrilled to have a sell out for our first event of the year. Thank you everyone who attended to hear the inspiring updates from our civic leaders Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes, Mayor Kay Fraser, Mayor Ryan Palmer and Mayor Philip Penfold. Each generously gave their time to share current initiatives happening in their LGA’s to support small business.
There are a broad range of Projects, Courses and Facilities available to support businesses across our diverse region and a number of exciting new projects in the pipeline for the near future, including new developments which will bring jobs, spending and opportunities to boost our local economy.
It is reassuring to have such passionate and dedicated leaders at the helm, driving exciting and innovative projects to benefit the whole community. We appreciate their time greatly.
Many thanks also to Jaimie Abbott who brought fabulous energy as our skilled panel facilitator, who helped create an engaging atmosphere for the event.
Our events are only possible due to the support of our local business community. Thank you to ongoing support from Newcastle Permanent Building Society, oOh! Media and Newcastle Herald. We value your connection with the Newcastle Business Club.
Thank you to Martin Sully from Snapper Studio for supporting our events again this year. Your images bring our social media pages to life with beautifully captured images of our speakers, members and guests at our events and the images from our luncheon this month are no exception.
Thank you to our Member Prize Draw and Lucky Door prize supporters, oOh! Media, Wrapped to You, Newcastle Office Interiors, Hunter and Coastal Lifestyle Magazine, Matthews Jewelers, Premier Team Building and Edward Cross Photography. Thanks also to Peter Drayton Wines for your ongoing support.
Our new committee have started the year strong with a fantastic sellout event. I am very grateful to all of our committee members for their hard work in preparing for the year ahead with an exciting range of speakers and events. It’s always inspiring to see people come together for a common goal and work hard to make a positive impact on their community.
There are opportunities available to increase your business exposure by sponsoring an upcoming event and for members to share a little about their business in a profiler presentation. Please contact us if you are interested in these opportunities.
I am looking forward to working with the committee to create events that bring valuable insights and opportunities for local business professionals to network and grow in our 90th year.
I’m looking forward to seeing you at our next luncheon on march 7th as we explore the topic Managing our changing relationship to work, with a panel of local business experts.
